Workshop: Let’s recreate a large carnivore habitat

This pilot living lab activity was held in-person on 4 August 2026 at DINA Pivka Center (Krpanov Dom) in Pivka. ZRS Koper conducted a classroom workshop at Krpanov Dom Centre in Pivka to test methods for entertaining educational experiences. The event combined educational and awareness-raising content with creativity and art, encouraging children to think about what large carnivores need to survive in a landscape and which ecosystem services they support with their presence. The children truly immersed themselves in the topic and, during the workshop, also shared stories about their own experiences encountering large carnivores.
